Job Description

We are currently recruiting an entry-level Benefit Coordinator.  A candidate in this position will work within a team of experienced professionals and help to support the continued growth of the company. If you have strong communication skills, great multitasking abilities and an interest in health and wellness then this is the job for you.


  • Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
  • Evaluate job positions, determining classification, benefit limits, and salary
  • Administer employee insurance health plans, working with insurance brokers and plan carriers
  • Plan, develop, evaluate, improve, and communicate methods and techniques for selecting, promoting, compensating, evaluating, and training workers
  • Prepare classifications, descriptions and metrics reporting
  • Coordinate communicate between benefit recipients and insurance/ retirement plan providers
  • Provide information and advice to employees regarding open enrollment, plan options, and FMLA eligibility
  • Maintain and seek out up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the company's benefits and plan options in order to be a successful resource for employees

Transferable Skills Needed

  • Clerical acumen - knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Customer service orientation - proactively assist clients in a professional, friendly manner in order to create the best possible experience by building relationships, understanding quality standards for service, and utilizing customer needs assessments
  • Communication - express ideas clearly in both written and verbal correspondence, listen effectively, and share information appropriately with persons inside and outside the organization
  • Dependable - be reliable, responsible, and utilize good judgment in fulfilling obligations
  • Cooperative - display a good-natured, collaborative attitude and be pleasant with others on the job
