We are currently recruiting a sales intern for a leading Twin Cities based organization who will be able to commit to working 20-30 hours per week. This sales intern will be able to learn the sales strategy from start to finish, gain experience in a wide range of sales strategy and get the mentorship from a season entrepreneur. Their sales team produces some of the best results in the Minneapolis area and is seeking an intern who can help in all aspects of the sales process: from the initial sales call to the close of the sale.


  • Responsible for generating, qualifying and contacting sales leads; manages activities that lead to account acquisition and enrollment.
  • Services existing accounts by calling on existing sales clients and  assuring their needs are being met.
  • Represents yourself and the company as a consultative partner by understanding a customer's business needs and providing solutions.
  • Differentiates the product from competitors by giving innovative and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales quotas and goals.
  • Contributes to team effort by collaborating and accomplishing results as needed.

Education Requirements:

 Interested candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or University in the Minneapolis area and working towards a Bachelor's degree.

Special Skills:

  • Candidates for this position should have excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills. Must be results oriented with the ability to prioritize, and must be very organized. Also, must have leadership skills and the ability to make decisions. Customer service and relationship building are essential to this position. Should be able to work collaboratively with other sales employees, clients, vendors, customers, and any other individuals involved in the sales process.
  • Proficient computer knowledge of the web and social media are essential. Programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel would also be beneficial but are not required.
